Opto-isolated I/O module with 16 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs
Designed for embedded control systems, the Micronix PV-1608 opto-isolated I/O board is a compact highly integrated module for monitoring digital input status and control of digital outputs. Micronix PV-1608 lets you handle combined I/O's from one single PC/104 board. The PV-1608 module plugs into any standard PC/104 bus interface and provides you with 16 digital opto-isolated inputs and 8 digital high-power opto-isolated outputs. Stackthrough (-S versions) or Non-Stackthrough connectors are available. Supplied with drivers for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT.

16 opto-isolated digital inputs
It provides 16 channels of inputs to detect bipolar ON/OFF, OPEN/CLOSE signals and has interrupt capability on its first two channels. The input range is from 1V to 10V suitable for many applications. The isolation voltage is up to 1000 Vrms from the inputs to the host. This feature causes voltage spikes that often occur in harsh industrial environments to be safely isolated from the computer.
Eight opto-isolated digital outputs
The PV-1608 board has eight opto-isolated outputs with low impedance MOS transistors and allow loads up to 1.0 A (NPN version) per channel. It allows control of up to 8 devices like solenoids, pneumatic or hydraulic valves, motor starters, etc. The output status can be read back from software for verification.
